During the Manager Training Programme focusing on the health industry, Russian executives met with Dr Renn\u00e8 Buck from the Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Family and Equality of Schleswig-Holstein. The guests benefited from her extensive knowledge as she presented figures and facts and provided information on the topics of skills shortage, out-patient treatment, mobile treatment concepts, in-patient treatment, prevention and the value-creating and economic factors in healthcare. All participants were very interested in the mobile treatment concepts and particularly in the use of so-called doc mobiles or practices on wheels.<\/p>\n

\"\"In the next five to ten years, there will be only a few or no family doctors in many regions in Germany if no successors can be found for doctors retiring due to old age. Regions with poorly developed infrastructure (nursery schools, schools, local transport, shopping facilities, jobs) are affected particularly badly as they offer the next generation of doctors few advantages for setting up a practice. A mobile concept was developed for regions in which future basic medical care is threatened. A \u2018doc mobile\u2019 or practice on wheels is innovative and flexible, secures an income and is therefore also attractive for doctors. In addition, it opens up the possibility of providing medical care for the population in association with hospitals and thus ensuring such care even in remote areas.<\/p>\n

\"\"This is a challenge for the future in the face of limited personnel resources. Dr Buck said it required, above all, creativity and cooperation between all actors. The participants were very enthusiastic and animatedly discussed how a mobile concept like this one could be transferred to Russia. They also mentioned that they would like to invite Dr Buck to an alumni event for groups from the health sector.<\/p>\n
