Germany and Kazakhstan will continue to work together as part of the Manager Training Programme. The State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), Dr Ulrich Nussbaum, together with the Deputy Minister for Regional Development for the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic Kazakhstan, Yermek Alpysov, signed a joint declaration on the continuation of the Programme until 2022.<\/p>\n

The BMWi State Secretary, Dr Ulrich Nussbaum, received the Deputy Minister for Regional Development for the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yermek Alpysov, for talks on 4 July 2019. Kazakhstan is one of the most resource-rich countries in the world and, as the top-performing economy in Central Asia, Germany\u2019s most important economic partner in Central Asia. State Secretary Nussbaum commented: \u201cIn order to further strengthen trade and investment between Germany and Kazakhstan, we are happy to make our instruments for the promotion of foreign trade available. With this in mind, I welcome today\u2019s signing of the joint declaration on the continuation of our cooperation through the Manager Training Programme. I am convinced that this Programme will allow us to make a concrete contribution to the objectives of the Kazakh Government to diversify and modernise the economy.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Kazakh economy is continuing its recovery. Thanks to robust investment and increased private consumption, growth of 3%-4% is expected in the coming years. German enterprises benefit from the positive dynamics of the Kazakh economy.<\/p>\n

Kazakhstan has been a partner of the BMWi\u2019s Manager Training Programme since 2004. To date, 700 Kazakh managers have been trained in Germany.<\/p>\n
