In spring, executives from Azerbaijan received the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes at two German agricultural machinery manufacturers. The visit to an internationally operating group and a medium-sized enterprise provided insights into their process-optimised production and the broad range of products.<\/p>\n

The programme began at Claas<\/a>, one of the world\u2019s leading manufacturers of agricultural machinery. Here, Wassili Seider and Hilmar Engelbert gave a presentation of the company and then took the visitors on a walk-about through the factory buildings to demonstrate the production process. The MP participants were clearly impressed. \u201cClaas is an international market leader that is already well established in the Azerbaijani market\u201d, commented MP participant Nargiz Sadigzad after the visit.<\/p>\n

\"\"A further tour took place at the firm B. Strautmann & S\u00f6hne<\/a>. The family business with its almost 90-year history produces machinery for cattle feeding and green forage collection, but also universal spreaders and transport machinery. Head of Sales Hubert P\u00f6hler guided the guests around the plant, where they were introduced to the production of fodder mixing wagons, manure spreaders and forage transport wagons, and gained insights into the production process. A presentation of the enterprise\u2019s most successful product, the Tera-Vitesse multi-purpose forage wagon, rounded off the tour for the Azerbaijani guests. In the final discussion, numerous questions were answered regarding production processes, logistics and quality requirements. Hubert P\u00f6hler closed the exciting day with a reflection from his perspective on the firm\u2019s success in the international market and pointed out that open-mindedness and a cosmopolitan attitude are fundamental components of modern corporate culture in every internationally active enterprise.<\/p>\n

MP participant Rovshan Jafarov shared his impressions following the two onsite visits: \u201cThe visit to B. Strautmann & S\u00f6hne was an excellent counterpart to what we saw at Claas. Although the firm does not have the highest application speed in their production, they use the best components, for example drive technology from John Deere. They know that the right components are decisive: professional employees, a manageable enterprise size and a clear focus on one type of production and on customers\u2019 needs. For me, it was a successful day altogether, and I gained new knowledge in diverse areas\u201d, he summed it up.<\/p>\n
