21 executives from Turkmenistan completed successful negotiations with German business partners during their 4-week stay in Germany. Nury Hydyrov will be representing the Dresden photovoltaic company Solarwatt in Turkmenistan. And Farruh Tagiev will be the exclusive distributor for ATMs produced by Wincor Nixdorf in his home country. The participants also had tractors and machinery for tilling and harvesting on their shopping lists, as well as facilities for manufacturing \u201cbig bags\u201d, nappies and carwashes. Aylar Japarova plans to persuade the proprietor of the Mercedes Benz service centre in Ashgabat to send company mechanics to the biannual trade fair Automechnika in Frankfurt to receive further training.<\/p>\n

At an average rate of 3.5 individual meetings per participant, this group of managers was able to establish quite a lot of business contacts to German companies. And their counterparts found good opportunities for cooperation following the meetings with their guests from Turkmenistan. One advantage turned out to be that about one third of the participants also spoke English, which improved their available options for successful communication with the German companies.<\/p>\n
Following a visit from Muhammetnyyaz Shemsetdinov, Alexander Crone-Rawe, CEO of the Zwickau-based company G\u00fcnter Kunststoffmaschinen GmbH, made an offer for a production line for large plastic shipping containers called \u201cbig bags\u201d that have volumes of one ton and upwards. \u201cI hope that my simplified description of the conditions for big bag production, including possible suppliers for the machine components, successfully demonstrated all of the opportunities [\u2026] That ought to help Mr Shemsetdinov take a giant leap forward.\u201d<\/p>\n
Thomas Krejci, a marketing manager at H\u00f6rmann GmbH, is also very keen on further cooperation within the MP. He was also able to establish promising business relationships: \u201cWe will be giving our full support to Ruslan Sadykov marketing our products and systems in Turkmenistan and wish him great success.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI got a lot of ideas for new areas of business\u201d, confirms Ruslan Sadykov. He is the founder and deputy director of the firm Bagtyyar Dostlar in Ashgabat, and is negotiating with three German companies on safety and early warning systems for the gas industry. He also considers the course content such as teamwork from the human resources management training or project development and steering to be important new knowledge and experience he can bring to his work.<\/p>\n

The success of the group from Turkmenistan was marked by the participants\u2019 clear ideas about future collaboration with German companies that were apparent from the moment they arrived, tangible economic interests and excellent preparation completed before they had left home. They also benefited from the valuable experience of MP alumni, who offered practical tips during the preparatory training course.<\/p>\n
