The comprehensive protection of your data against all threats is not, however, possible in spite of regular monitoring.<\/p>\n<p>Any personal data is transferred exclusively by us in encrypted form. The encrypted data transfer by our website can be identified by the acronym HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure) in the URL bar.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Storing contact data<\/strong><br \/>\nNames, postal addresses and email addresses that are provided by users when submitting contact enquiries or placing orders for information material (e.g. by using the contact form, by email or by telephone) shall be used exclusively for any correspondence pertaining to the processing of your enquiry. This processing is conducted in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 (b) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). There shall be no transfer of data to third parties. The transfer shall take place using an SSL encrypted connection, meaning that any unauthorised access is significantly inhibited. Any enquiries submitted using the contact form are, as with enquiries submitted by email, deleted once the enquiry has been processed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Recipients of personal data<\/strong><br \/>\nThere shall be no transfer of data to third parties.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Data deletion<\/strong><br \/>\nIn accordance with Art. 17 and 18 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) any data processed by us shall be routinely deleted or the processing thereof limited as soon as this information is no longer required for the intended purpose, or when affected individuals do not submit their separate consent, or when statutorily prescribed retention periods and obligations render the extended storage of data obsolete.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rights of those affected<\/strong><br \/>\nUsers shall have the right to prevent the processing of data, to enquire about any personal data stored about them and its processing, as well as to correct or limit the processing of said data respectively, or to demand the deletion of such data. This data shall then be deleted.<\/p>\n<p>Users may direct any questions or complaints relating to this website to us by using the contact address&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:mp@giz.de\">mp@giz.de<\/a>&nbsp;or by approaching the Data Protection Officer via&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:datenschutzbeauftragter@giz.de\">datenschutzbeauftragter@giz.de<\/a>. You shall also have the right to file a complaint with the responsible supervisory authority for data protection. The responsible authority is the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bfdi.bund.de\/DE\/Home\/home_node.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information<\/a>&nbsp;(BfDI).<\/p>\n<p><strong>External links<\/strong><br \/>\nThe MP website contains so-called \u2018external links\u2019 to third-party websites, the contents of which are beyond our control. Any such links shall be removed without delay in the event that a legal infringement is brought to our attention.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Social networks<\/strong><br \/>\nThe MP website uses data protection-secure \u2018Shariff\u2019 buttons for social networks. \u2018Shariff\u2019 was developed by specialists from the IT magazine c\u2019t, in order to enable greater protection online and replace the standard \u2018Share\u2019 buttons employed by social networks. Please click&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.heise.de\/ct\/artikel\/Shariff-Social-Media-Buttons-mit-Datenschutz-2467514.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>&nbsp;to learn more about the Shariff project.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cookies<\/strong><br \/>\nWhen accessing individual webpages, so-called session cookies are used (small text files that are stored locally by browser on the user\u2019s computer), in order to facilitate navigation. These session cookies do not contain personal information, and expire once the user leaves the website.<br \/>\nUsers may disable cookies by adjusting the browser settings. Any stored cookies can also be deleted there. Please note that disabling the use of cookies can limit the functionality of the website.<\/p>\n<p><strong>User analysis with Matomo<\/strong><br \/>\nThe MP website uses&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/matomo.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Matomo<\/a>, an open source application that supports the statistical analysis of user access. This programme also employs cookies (please see above) to recognise the browser and analyse the user\u2019s behaviour.<\/p>\n<p>The information generated by the cookies is stored on the Matomo servers in Germany.&nbsp;<em>There shall be no transfer to third parties.<\/em>&nbsp;Any data recorded shall not be used to personally identify the website visitor. The IP address shall be anonymized before storage. Today\u2019s technology cannot associate an anonymised address with a specific computer and\/or connection. Data shall be processed in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 (f) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and with the justifiable interest of analysing user behaviour, in order to improve the website.<\/p>\n<p>Users may also exercise the right of objection to the processing of their data for the purpose of an analysing user behaviour.
