Sakhymurad Abdyrasulov is managing director of a small company that produces and installs PVC stretch ceilings. The system to cover ceilings is still largely unknown in Turkmenistan. Having become familiar with the technique in Russia, in 2007 Abdyrasulow decided to set up his own company based on the idea. He now employs a team of five and offers individual design consulting in addition to stretch ceilings in various finishes and colours.<\/p>\n
The qualified broadcast engineer decided to participate in the training in Germany to enhance his management skills and learn means of boosting sales. He also wanted to find new business partners for the supply of PVC sheets, as he does not produce but only processes the material himself.<\/p>\n
He used to source German-made sheets through a dealer in Moscow, but had often been damaged during transport. Having found a Bavaria partner through his training in Germany, Abdyrasulov now only purchases flawless goods.<\/p>\n
\u201cNot only are my sheets now in prime condition, they are also cheaper, as I no longer have to pay the middleman,\u201d the businessman reveals. \u201cThe delivery times have also been reduced.\u201d<\/p>\n
When he returned to the Turkmen capital, he created an advertising video showing the design options and installation of stretch ceilings as a means of increasing awareness and acquiring new customers. As a further new sales promotion tool, he had colour and surface charts prepared.<\/p>\n
He also implemented in-house modernisations and optimised work allocation and responsibilities. \u201cMy management training ultimately allowed me to enhance the quality of my products, make savings and boost the efficiency of work. This all helped me to remain competitive in the long-term and benefits my planned expansion into other regions of Turkmenistan,\u201d says Abdyrasulov.<\/p>\n
