On 2 October 2020, Aidian Sharsheev, Kyrgyz State Secretary at the Ministry of Economy of the Central Asian country, and the German Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Monika Iwersen, signed a joint declaration to this effect.

The BMWi’s Manager Training Programme is now running as an online format. Virtual onsite visits, seminars and B2B meetings are preparing managers from the 21 partner countries for business with the German economy.
Programme graduates from Russia and Germany met on 29 July 2020 as part of the German-Russian Business Talks. At the event, they gave the starting signal for a close cooperation. In the future, partnerships will, for example, facilitate access to other markets.

The German Ambassador in Russia, Dr Géza Andreas von Geyr, and Vladislav Fedulov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, signed a joint declaration on the continuation of the Programme until 2022 in Moscow on 9 July 2020.
