Manager Training Programme of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action
Germany and Azerbaijan are continuing their cooperation in the Manager Training Programme (MP). On 2 March 2021, the German Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Dr Wolfgang Manig, and the Vice Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan, Sahib Alekperov, signed a Joint Declaration of Intent in Baku to extend the Programme up to the end of 2023. The main focus of the new issue of the “Journal” is on the adaptation of the Manager Training Programme (MP) to a virtual format due to the corona pandemic. In it, participants and alumni from the partner countries as well as trainers and tutors from Germany describe their experiences with the digital seminars, company visits and trade events that have been taking place since mid-2020. Enterprises in Turkmenistan can participate in the BMWi Manager Training Programme for a further three years. Representatives of Germany and the Central Asian country have agreed on this. On 11 December 2020, Dirk Jakobi, Chargé d’Affaires of the German Embassy in Ashgabat, and the Turkmen Minister of Finance and Economy, Muhammetgeldi Serdarov, signed a Joint Declaration in the Turkmen capital Ashgabat on the extension of the Programme until the end of 2023.
